Mímir answers questions using the published writing of founders and investors. This page explains what we collect, why, and who processes it.

What we collect

  • Account details: when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture. We use these only to keep you signed in and show your account.
  • Your questions and answers: if you're signed in, we store the questions you ask, the answers Mímir gives, the sources cited and whether you starred them, so you can see your history.
  • Usage counts: the number of questions you ask each day, to apply the free daily limit.
  • If you're not signed in: we store a one-way hash of your IP address for the day, only to limit visitors to one free question. We cannot recover your IP address from it.
  • Pro waitlist: if you join, we store the email address you give us.
  • Technical logs: our hosting provider keeps standard server logs for security and troubleshooting.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data, show ads, or use your questions to train AI models.

Who processes your data

To answer a question, its text is sent to Google's Gemini API to search the library, and the question together with the relevant source passages is sent through OpenRouter to an AI model that writes the answer. Our database and sign-in run on Supabase. The site is hosted by Lovable. Each of these providers processes data under their own terms and privacy policies.

Retention and deletion

We keep your account and history until you ask us to delete them. Anonymous daily counts are only needed for the day they apply to. To delete your account and everything linked to it, email prateekk056@gmail.com and we'll do it within 30 days.
